crickets I'm taking a shower For what I don't know There's no one I'm meeting There's no place to go I'm feeling unkempt It has been three days My hair is all greasy And showing its age Well I still must get coffee And that's a reason And I just might run into A certain person Or someone might call And I'd have to run out And in a split second "I'll be there" I'd shout And if such events Ever did rise I'd be as prepared As the other guys The bird clock strikes 3 And the day's halfway gone I'll work on my painting Or maybe a song Or clean up the house For no one but me But it's not worth discussing A sight that's left unseen It's getting near The end and I Do not know where I belong in time The waves are rolling On and on My once strong legs Are nearly gone A rhythm flows Like wizard sleeves As skeletons skip through Autumn leaves Your rain-soaked shoes Outside the door I hope I get A blessing for My sneeze, a window, An easy loss Just like a game of Rigged ring toss Just one more try And I'll head home With my oversized Novelty comb And clean up the house For no one but me But it's not worth discussing A sight that's left unseen.
